DJ BPM is making Grime history with her new brainchild, GRIME DISSE ELA, which has already been supported by Rui Pina aka Ex-peão. Being a female DJ in a scene that is male dominated, DJ BPM’s new venture looks to get her the respect she is due, as GRIME DISSE ELA serves as a platform to support and promote ‘real’ Grime music in Portugal, and all Iberia. The platform will allow Portuguese artists to collaborate with highly respected established Grime artists and producers worldwide, with the opportunity to get their music that international exposure.
The first single released on the GRIME DISSE ELA platform is a track produced by UK’s Sir Pixalot and featuring Portuguese Grime emcee Expeão e Berna. Quando Entro is an energetic Grime riddim, and regardless of if you speak Portuguese or not, the flows and technique must be respected all the same. The video captures the night life out and about at the clubs in Portugal, which seems rather outlandish, even a bit trippy.
