Joining a line of talent to emerge from the Midlands, Coventry native Icey Stanley has joined forces with Ironik for his latest single ‘SNM’, with visuals directed by Box Motion Films released via Link Up TV. The pair previously worked together on Ironik’s album ‘Truth Be Told’, and this offering brings a new dimension, as they delve in to smooth R&B influences. The mellow and chilled piano-led production by Kevin Gani features melodic flows and vocals from Icey Stanley and Ironik, whose reminiscent state of mind lyrics reflect those “Late night feels; when you’re left alone with your thoughts”, specifically relationships and their hopes of taking it further with their girls, or at least finding out their aims and motives in a relationship.
Icey Stanley has established his roots within Coventry’s Hip Hop scene, and has garnered attention via his local music community. His recognition started to spiral when he was seen supporting UK artists such as JME, Fuse ODG, Meridian Dan, Big Narstie, Lady Leshurr and Devlin, whilst his electric performances and aptitude at stage delivery has awarded him with the opportunities to play shows in Africa, Europe and America including sets at The Global Youth Conference in Carolina and Loveworld Music Festival in Nigeria, exposing his musical prowess to different audiences across the world.
