Jay Carteré released his second track of 2015 over the weekend, a Valentine’s Day Special called ‘Lighthouse’ also produced by Jay himself. Jay fuses both his new found love of Dance music and Rap, as he raps over a crispy dance production, delivering a metaphor-injected, superbly crafted chorus which is infectious, and expresses his feelings towards a woman, as he likens her to a lighthouse, presumably bringing light in to his life, and he lays down lyrics, rapping about feeling out of his depth in relationships, fast-forwarding to happier times in his and his lovers life, pleading with his girlfriend, whom he states shines bright, not to change for anything, and Jay wishes that like all great things that usually do, that their love never finishes. Jay does fantastically with a perfect mix of urban rap vibes in a short burst with with catchy lyrics and a hook. Combining the lyrics and the production, this a club banger which is commercially accessible and with the right push, would hopefully garner attention for Jay Carteré.
