UK Hip Hop duo Ren & Noddz unveiled their latest mixtape called ‘Rehearsal’ recently via Hoodtapes. Ren & Noddz both serve up a mixtape full of fun lyricism, conscious bars and uplifting songs, which all depict party life, hopes and dreams, battling with the hard times on the road to stardom, and not letting anything negative bring you down. The mixtape’s overall vibe and message is positive, fun and bubbly, with some of the Hip Hop production being rather soulful; ‘They Can’t Bring Us Down’ and ‘This Is Real’, the latter of which is borderline RnB. You also have some hard hitting tunes like ‘Uh Huh’ and ‘Rise’, which are thumping beats, or club bangers like ‘Gone’. The lyrical content from both Ren & Noddz is fun, like when they thrown in punchlines and metaphors, but sometimes deep and thought provoking, while they’re flow and delivery is good, sometimes seeming slow, hard hitting and more pronounced, but tracks like ‘Gone’ and ‘Rise’ are either energetic or rapid, the latter, they portray double time flows which is excellent.
