Grime MC Voltz aka Voltage teamed up with fellow MC Cr for a music video by Link Up TV for his own ‘Truffle Butter Freestyle’ his own cover of Nicki Minaj’s track of the same name featuring Lil Wayne and Drake. Both Voltz and Cr drop skippy, energetic flows over the Hip Hop beat, produced by Nineteen85 and Maya Jane Coles, which possesses a House vibe what with the synthasized melody and organs, plus the gospel style vocals on the hook. Voltz rhymes about putting the mack on the ladies, having a superior sound to the competition, whilst he states he is living humbly, out on the roads making his money, but nevertheless not running with fakes and staying real. Cr drops some wicked lyrics packed with punchlines, stressing that he is the truth, rhyming about the paper chase and his roadside antics, ducking from the law, but also having fun, kicking it with one night tings. Both mc’s go in with mad flows, skippy business and energetic flows and on point delivery, whilst the bars are cheeky, fun and bubbly.
