‘Getaway’ is the latest release from Card Gang Music, taken from ‘Sticky Blood presents HEKKY’ upcoming AA single ‘Getaway Car/My Area’, due for release on 30th October. This latest track elaborates on Sticky Blood’s, consisting of former Arctic Monkeys’ Andy Nicholson and Jamie Shields, first introduction to Hekky on lead single from their debut EP ‘I.D’, entitled ‘Professional’. This particular track is a thumping Trapesque electronic Hip Hop joint from the duo and Hekky, the latter of whom brings his immense vocal talents to the track, a cross between harmonising and rapping, with Hekky’s exceptional lyrical skills expressing his desire to take things slowly yet get away by extravagant means of transport. As you listen to this track, you might agree that part of the tune reminds us of Major Lazer’s ‘Lean On’, but without going all out to emulate that particular track, it shows yet more diversity from Sticky Blood.
