Cadet – Stereotype | @CallMeCadet | Link Up TV
Cadet made waves in 2015, and is set to create a storm with the release of his forthcoming “The Commitment” EP. The UK Grime/Rap Lyricist links up with Kevin Hudson for visuals hosted by Link Up TV for a track called ‘Stereotype’, which features lyrics that are very outspoken from Cadet, as he rhymes about his future goals and ambitions that are positive, yet he purposefully delivers contradictory bars that make him seem like such a stereotype. A big part of Cadet’s pain is trying to look after and make people in his life proud from his mother to his brothers or even the women in his life. Cadet rhymes about the many stereotypes that he tries so desperately not to live up to whilst also admitting to, delivering some a great political line in there at one time. Cadet spits consistently and rapidly, lyrics in abundance and his flow is sporadic. The visuals are fantastically shot, as Cadet performs the song, with a facial expression that conveys his anguish, surrounded by a receptive audience.
