A Quason Matthews Film, multi-cultural Birmingham band KIOKO recently dropped visuals for their own experimental twist on Drake’s smash single from last year, ‘Hotline Bling’. Having “. . . started from the incredible memes of Drake’s dancing in the video”, “messing about in rehearsal” with their own versions of the move, they decided to see how the song would work with their own signature spin on the track. KIOKO took the track forward and mixed it in with their new material at a gig which people seemed to like. The grayscale visuals are very up close and in an intimate setting, allowing you to see witness each instrument they play to make a unique blend of sounds; trumpets, strings and melodies.
