Bound To Blow – SAR
A lyricist from as young as 12, Sar found himself rapidly developing as an artist in his hometown Ipswich. His ability to tell stories through his lyrics was heavily influenced by none other than the Hip Hop sensation J Cole.
At age 23, Sar developed an urge to leave his hometown and reset in Vancouver BC, Canada. Departing from his comfort zone, he very quickly found himself in helpful hands. The young suffolk rapper, along with his canadian producers; Krev Mack and Nomadic completed an album titled ‘Soul Search’.
Best known in Ipswich for his barbering skills, the 24 year old shocked his hometown with his snappy flows and hard hitting hooks. The songs ’10th floor’ and ‘Suffolk boy’ immediately grabbed the listeners attention with a grasping use of wordplay. With a wide range of influences from different genres such as J cole, Drake, Bryson Tiller, Skepta, Ben Howard, Frank Ocean and many more, Sar finds it difficult to pin point his style.
“Good music has no genre, I want to be as versatile as possible. One day i might vocal and trap beat with heavy 808’s, another day I may want an electric guitar’
Currently in Vancouver, Sar is now working hard on his second Album ‘014 Caliber’. The album will feature sounds from UK and Canadian producers. The 2 styles will come together and bridge a very powerful body of work.
