Knowledge Is Power Promotions presents Grime DJ/Producer Dubzta’s latest instrumental project, the “Redrum” EP. The title production opens up with a sample from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, transitioning in to a haunting trap beat made up of thrashing drums, 808 bass and claps. Other instrumentals include ‘Anything Else To Say’, a bass-riddled eerie, futuristic sci-fi beat, once again relying on claps and booming bass, and a bouncy remix of John Brown The Rebel’s ‘Slewham’. MIK and Merky Ace team up on ‘Smoke’ which is a Dubzta V.I.P, and a heavy-hitting, trap banger featuring stuttering trap flows from MIK and energetic flows and gritty delivery from Merky Ace. Dubzta and fellow producer Beanzo collaborate on ‘Nightmare’ consisting of a bass that rip through your speakers and a synth-laden melody which leave you with nightmares. The last track is a remix of Potentz’ ‘General’, a lashing, bass-rumbling grime remix from Dubzta which samples General Levy’s Incredible.
This one has come just in time for your Halloween, so if you would rather stay indoors rather than go out and get chased by mad, crazed clowns chasing you with machetes and all sorts, rinse this one out of your speakers and be feared by the hellish sounds!
