Midlands representers, Zeo and Eyez from Wolverhampton and Derby respectively, collaborate on a new heavyweight track called ‘Liars’, with visuals via SBTV which were directed by Kyle Shox Brown. The Japanese style themed video sits well with the Asian influenced, bouncy, grime-come-trap beat produced by Zeo himself, with both emcee’s delivering energetic,pacey flows and spraying bars in this lyrical slaughter of those people that aren’t true to themselves. Zeo and Eyez are both rising stars in the Grime scene, with amazing credentials and portfolios to their names already. Zeo has worked with some of Grime’s top hit makers including established artists and producers such as JME (BBK), DJ Q (BBC Radio 1Xtra), Trilla, Bassboy and TRC, and has gained national radio support and online coverage from big names such as SBTV, GRM Daily and RWD Magazine. Eyez released his all star mixtape ‘Mind The Gap’ earlier this year, featuring on it a Midlands Vs. London cypher with Eyez, Mez & Kamakaze Vs. AJ Tracey, Dave and Jammz. This got support from Fact Mag, Complex, RWD and more. Eyez also acted as Derby captain of the Red Bull Grime-A-Side team who won the clash this year against 7 other cities from the UK. With the release of ‘Liars’, Zeo and Eyez continue the Midlands ‘reputation for churning some of the best Grime music, perhaps bettering London city, but that would have to be fought over in another discussion!
