Mikey C has released the official video for a new track produced by Westy called ‘Ready Or Not’. It’s grime riddim that samples The Fugees’ classic song of the same name, and features accentuated percussion along with the familiar eerie riff, that The Fugees’ themselves sampled from Enya’s Boadicea. Mikey C’s flows, especially on the chorus are haunting and cold, as Mikey delivers lyrics talking of life and death. Mikey rhymes about his desire to better his life before his time comes to an end. A chilling subject matter explored by Mikey C, he also displays excellent wordplay skills, flowing slowly but steadily on the sauntering production.
