Co-dekk /Stainless Recordings Producer Blitza has just recently dropped two new projects on soundcloud, the “Bootleg Season” EP and the “Warpath” EP, the latter of which was released via Grime Disciple. Bootleg Season features four Grime beats, all refixes of classic Hip Hop and Grime, including the classic Fu-Gee-La by The Fugees, transformed in to a energetic, pacy, bass-riddled grime smash. Blitza also lays down his own refix of the classic Rhythm & Gash which is relentless. Str8R1dd1m is also a wicked bassline grime banger.
Warpath EP is another collection of original grime productions this time around. The opening beat Genocypher sets the tone for this EP, crashing through with a pounding beat and rapid percussion and a gladiator-esque sound. Gas Mark Riddim is a skippy affair with a booming bass, and rhythmic steel pans and relentless claps. Following that is Mountain Lion, and then Silo War 2, a thudding grime beat influenced in part by Silencer aka Teddy Music’s classic World War 4. The final production Gates Of Heaven leaves you on a deeper note, where there is peace and all weapons are laid down on war.
