Cadet – No More Letters (Official Video)
Cadet just recently unveiled new cinematic, movie-like visuals for his latest single ‘No More Letters’ aka ‘Letter To Krept (Part 2)’, which is lifted from the much anticipated “The Commitment 2” EP, due for release on 21st July.
‘No More Letters’ is a further exploration of both Cadet’s complex journey, musically and as a person. The track delves in to and explores his positioning within the elite of Britain’s emcee’s and Cadet’s mechanisms. Following on ‘Letter To Krept’, which focused on the moment that Krept unexpectedly took him to Wireless Festival, a moment that was life-changing, the time Cadet came to the realisation that he too could perform his own slot. ‘Letter To Krept (Part 2)’ is a completion of one of Cadet’s journeys, “peace is now restored and ambitions have been fulfilled”, coming full circle, now that Cadet will be performing his own slot at Wireless on 8th July.
This isn’t the first taste of “The Commitment 2”, following the release of ‘Instagram Girls’ featuring Konan. Cadet continues to push powerful music, “shrouded in deeper meanings and insightfulness”, but yet is captivating, and playful at times. Cadet has so far been supported by BBC Radio 1/1Xtra DJ’s Semtex and Charlie Sloth, and tastemaker magazines such as Notion and Complex have given him critical acclaim, “tipping him for continued success”. Cadet has also had public co-signs from UK’s music kings Wiley and Stormzy. All of this must just fuel that excitement revolving around the release of “The Commitment 2”. There is much more to come from Cadet, sure to achieve much more success the rest of the year and beyond.
