Fusion – Don’t Get Me Mad (Official Video)

Premiered via Dummy Mag last week, ‘Don’t Get Me Mad’ is the new single from Grime MC Fusion, who is ”set to install some flavour back into Grime with his quick flows and old skool edge”. Produced by Five Nine, Fusion explodes on a grime beat, that sets a sinister tone of inner-city life surrounded by tower blocks, barking dogs and cautionary bars”. Fusion executes double time flows with a mad high level of energy in his delivery, showcasing the ability to adapt to any tempo and any sound.

With the release of last single ‘For The Crime’, Fusion had an instant hit that hit the mark with gatekeepers such as Rude Kid, who made it his ‘Riddim Of The Week’ on Kiss FM, and Rebecca Judd who made it her Track of the Day, along with MixMag, Notion and Complex all rallying to be the first to highlight Fusion and his music to their followers.

Fusion’s big stature and lyrical prowess is almost juxtaposed to the reservedness and humble character, in real-life, of the ”giant of a figure”. However, don’t be fooled, as Fusion’s determination, musical understanding and application to his craft demands the respect of his peers, something that is reflected in the responses of the grime scene patriarchs Jammer and Skepta, following his inclusion on Lord of the Mics 10th Anniversary compilation, and the subsequent releases of heavy hitting grime joints ‘No’, ‘Rudeboy’ and ‘Newham’.

‘Don’t Get Me Mad’ leads Fusion in to the ”Ready” EP release, whilst the emcee still has plenty of ”weighty missiles left in the chamber”, and having been awarded the plaudit of ‘13 British Emcees Destined For A Big 2017’ by Complex earlier in the year, you damn sure better keep a watch out for more dropping from the Newham emcee.
