Slew Dem’s Chronik edges closer to the release of his forthcoming mixtape “Rise Of the Lengman” with not one but three possible tracks taken from the mixtape. “By Your Side” features Chronik spit over a Hip Hop beat with a sad haunting female vocalist singing the title seamlessly over the track, whilst the emcee speaks about death, funerals, and the bleek truth of street life which consists of feds kicking in your door, and dealing with the stress by rolling up a spliff and smoking your troubles away. This one sees Chronik drop heavyweight lyricism and a hard-hitting flow.

“Ryder (4Life)” features Jerome & Popek, Jerome on the chorus of a Trap-influenced instrumental, and even though the recording is pretty much in it’s rawest form, with some mixing this could be a banger. The chorus is well-written and superb for an anthem for any ryder doing their ting on road. Both Popek and Chronik drop big bars on the beat.

“Rise It” is another Grime tune with a Trap influence, in which feature Riko Dan brings his ragga style to the heavyweight production. Riko spits a hard verse backed with perfect flow and delivery, and Chronik also spits heavyweeight bars, destroying the track with ease. This tune is a massacre.
