Kid Bookie recruits some local emcee’s from around his hometown for this new Grime/Hip Hop track entitled “Hazey”. Featuring Jamkay, Ten Dixon and Row-D amongst others, they all bring Grime flows to this Hip Hop ballad, a two-dimensional love song in a way, each emcee spitting from their own perspective about their feelings towards sweet mary jane, and their own experiences from the high. From listening to the lyricism, it seems that the weed clouds the thoughts of some and feeling lethargic and laid back, whilst others are vamped up from the buzz, ready to buss everything up. The production which features a harp instrument of sorts overlayed by a distinct drum pattern builds up a floaty, dreamy vibe, which serves as the premise for all 8 emcee’s to drop double time flows and chopper style bars over. Kid Bookie kills it with a rapid verse, bringing the fire, and the likes of Charlie Tree’s, Taper, D Rogers and Row-D were impressive with vast flows and delivery, a couple switching up the flow, with Row-D going in with wit and dutty lyricism.
