STREAKS STERLING – REAL

streaks 1

Young rapper Streaks Sterling releases the visuals for his latest track “Real”. The mc goes in over a pounding old skool Hip Hop beat, with a prominent snare drum, booming beats and delicate sitar strings in the background, using orchestral strings to darken the sound. Sterling is a technically gifted rapper, switching up flows and effortlessly meandering over the instrumental. Streaks gets deep with the bars, as the title “Real” suggests spits the truth about life and the daily grind, lamenting the fakers in the game, speaking of those using a persona of hood success as a guise. The opening line sets the tone for Sterling’s message, “I don’t know what you think life is, but whatever you thought was wrong, you can play the hard guy act all you want, but a reputation aint gonna put no flipping food on the table, forget your chain if you aint got more than one”. The youngsters lyricism shows a maturity beyond his years, with a message in his songs that a wide audience can relate to and take heed from. Streaks Sterling is raising the bar for the next generation of UK Rap artists, rapping over real Hip Hop beats and not glamorising the Trap life. Streaks is the future of UK Hip Hop. A young man in tune with his creative side the ability to teach with his rhymes without sounding preachy. Big bars. Big tune!
