Grafter – Interlude [GRM Daily]
GRM Daily unveiled a new music video for rising uk rapper Grafter, entitled “Interlude” for his birthday. Directed by Mornix, the visuals take you on a journey just like the song, tracking Grafter around town as he socialises with various friends and acquaintances. The lyricism depicts Grafter’s struggle with figuring out what to do with his life, his hard graft and perseverance to up the levels with his skills, and breakthrough in to the rap scene. Grafter mentions about turning his back on old ways, keeping it there, staying positive and trying to make a wage legit. Grafter seems humble to the point of spitting the realness, drawing from own experiences, and the old skool and meandering flow mixed with the soulful Hip Hop instrumental reminds me a bit of Rap in the 90’s, and the hook is superbly written and crafted.
