Loick Essien returned recently with a brand track produced by Splurge Boys, featuring UK Hip Hop artists Chip and Wretch 32. The hard-hitting Trap production features Loick on the hook, doing what he does best with fantastic singing, harmonising and holding the notes perfectly, with both Chip and Wretch on the verses. The track’s lyrics depict the trio’s feeling of needing no-one who has or will not help, standing on their own two feet, and the haters, fakers and doubters driving their own self-belief and motivation. Simple but yet effective message, Loick’s vocals on the chorus go terrifically with the beat which works in contrast, whilst Chip gives it his all with some furious delivery, as does Wretch but more laid back, but both kill it lyrically.
