Talented multi-genre mc ABSORB has recently started up his ABSORB Archive Collection, which will see him take to soundcloud every two weeks to release previously unheard tracks to the public. Rather than let them sit there collecting dust on his hard drive, ABSORB will share with you these tracks that can be streamed below. To kick off with, these four tracks, with production from Plastician, G, Tank of The Heavytrackerz, Mensah and Maniac. Spanning from 2010 onwards, starting with ‘Wrong Place, Wrong Time’, a heavy beat and warped production, ABSORB rains down rapid flows over the production by Plastician, warning rivals against placing themselves in his line of fire. ‘If You Want War’, produced by G. Tank, sees ABSORB deliver tongue-twisting fast-paced bars on an up-tempo grime production with an Asian vibe. The Mensah-produced ‘Thunder & Lightning’ features Jamilah on a pounding fusion of Grime, Dubstep and Drum & Bass. Jamilah provides soothing, enchanting yet eerie vocals on the chorus, The title is a metaphor for the storm that ABSORB is either brewing in the booth or desperately trying to avoid. The last track, for now at least, is ‘Message Deleted’ produced by Maniac, and may be one of his most successful releases to date, having been supported by Sian Anderson, SK Vibemakers and DJ Allbury. This one is old school Grime flava, Maniac favouring a rapid bassline which ABSORB takes to like water to a duck’s back, as he redirects the noise he hears on a daily to his messages which he quickly deletes, having no time for no nonsense talk.
