ABSORB releases the ninth track in The ABSORB Archive Collection, and is a demo called ‘This Week’, produced by Eric Dingus, and was recorded last year for the Pigeons and Planes competition. A different vibe from the usual energetic and grimy music that ABSORB frequently releases, yet sticking with the bass influence in the production, the Eric Dingus production is more melodic and ambient with prominent bass and percussion, on which ABSORB’s flow is more less calm, with conscious and yet complex lyrics that could be interpreted in many ways, including from a musical perspective or maybe a relationship. ABSORB showcases a completely different style to what I am most familiar with and is quite refreshing and impressive.
