Adian Coker returns with what is being said is a “much more adventurous, charming and personal offering” than what has been heard before in his previously released music. With tracks like ‘Aim’ featuring Bluey Robinson, a smooth and soulful joint which lyrically illustrates Adian’s plight as an artist and his aims and ambitions, to ‘Nothing New’, a grittier and darker offering, as Adian displays his lyrical prowess over a bass-trembling trap beat, there is a wide range of genres and styles of music on the EP. As with the previously mentioned tracks which featured singers, the R&B vibes continue on ‘Iyamide’s Son’, which Charlotte Turnbull provides distorted yet harmonious sining vocals on the hook. This one features reflective rhymes from Adian exploring his relationships with family and friends and his battle to keep his feet on the ground and not lose control. ‘Memories’ is one of the more pounding, hard-hitting productions on the EP, a trap banger with fabulous singing vocals from another female vocalist, Adian delivers excellent metaphors and punchlines in his rhymes which are about running from memories and chasing your dreams. ‘Krispy’ is another ‘turn-up’ Hip Hop banger on which Adian Coker brags about the “kreme” and luxurious lifestyle he is chasing whilst on the grind. ‘Wide Shut’ uses the expression to emphasize and illustrate how people can don’t see things in plain view.
Adian Coker lets the listener explore his mind, feelings and emotions which definitely makes this EP very personal and upfront. The production and sounds very from Trap to straight Hip Hop, R&B and Soul, and Bass music, which is also adventurous of Adian to juggle the genres and mix them together perfectly and effortlessly.
