Akala collaborates with fellow rapper Mic Righteous for a brand new music video for ‘The Journey’ taken from his latest album ‘Knowledge Is Power Vol 2’. The pair deliver back to back intense lyricism, as they invite the listener on a journey, deterring their targeted audience from a negative path, rhyming about believing in yourself, to overcome the struggles, but without coming across as better that n the next person. The track takes a turn as the beat transitions from a slow, percussion heavy hip hop beat in to a thrashing rock-infused production, the pair changing up their delivery, flowing rapidly and aggressively with Mic Righteous drawing for his own experiences for shock value, and both spit about being trapped in a life of suffering, a system designed to keep us down. The pair destroy this energetic banger with intellectual rhymes and monstrous flows.
