Having released her new single ‘Stop’ featuring Rapper Wretch 32, it features Alesha revisiting her roots with the hard-hitting R&B jam, showing glimpses of her Mis-Teeq days with quick-flowing emceeing. Alesha once again heats up the single with two remixes, the first by SRNO which doesn’t stray from the R&B vibe, keeping the chords and beat, but giving it a chilled groove twist and a middle-eastern vibe sound, one that will have you imagining the summer sun and golden, sandy beaches being washed up by the clear blue seas. The second of the two remixes is by FooR, and was premiered by DJ Target on his Friday night show on BBC Radio 1Xtra as his Targo Embargo. This particular remix is more in vain of Mis-Teeq’s music from the early 2000’s. Alesha’s speedy vocals fit perfectly on the UK Garage production which takes it to the clubs and dance floor. FooR mixes up a skippy, 2-Step beat with a gritty bassline and organ synths. Whether it is the elegant and smooth sounds of Alesha Dixon’s vocals and SRNO’s production, or the urban vibes of FooR’s Garage remix and Alesha’s ghetto fabulous attitude which is accentuated, these two contrasting versions will no doubt add more fuel to the new single making it harder for you to stop dancing.
