Armegedon Now Productions presents to you the Grime Energy E.P, packed with six supreme grime instrumentals by the mc/producer. Armegedon definitely pumps energy in to each production, marking his own sound and style of producing on the E.P. Armegedon mixes thumping beats with percussion such as snares and hi-hats, arranging them to give a speedy, skippy vibe, such as on the opening beat ‘Gorilla’, an instrumental that also incorporates jabbing bass, synths and plucky chimes. The title track is also full energy and up-tempo, with Armegedon delivering a dirty bassline along with a snapping beat and whirring synths. ‘Feel It’ features a sampled vocal in which Armegedon plays around with it, as he overlays the snare heavy beat with an infectious melody. ‘Electric City’ just like ‘Feel It’ seems more of a heavy, hard hitting production than up-tempo. ‘Elements’ is a whole other vibe, as Armegedon invokes a dance vibe with the opening synthesizer, kicking in to a fast-paced grime production, full of pulsating beats and percussion, as well as jabbing claps in the chorus segment. Armegedon intriguingly switches the beat up as it wavers in levels the whole time. Ending the E.P is ‘Road Life’, a gully instrumental with a chilly ambient vibe at times, with Armegedon yet again laying down a thumping beat yet this time lashing, and a synthesized bassline. Armegedon delivers six fantastic grime beats, with all speaking to you on different levels and with different vibes, yet stay within Armegedon’s own style, and Armegedon giving you pure grime sounds.
