Following on from the introduction to his polished sound with the lyric video to Smoke Good F**k Better, AS Jay returns with a live performance of said track which shows off another side to his musical abilities. The song is inspired by AS Jay’s time spent in London, the lyrics dealing with separation and “getting lost in the crowd”. The original version was gritty, trapesque and atmospheric, leading to the cold and lonely vibe. The SGFB live session sees AS Jay in smoky room with live instrumentation, as he rhymes on a slow, mellow and chilled guitar-led R&B melody, which may speak to the listeners in differing ways to the original, or at least invoke different feelings.
