With Afrobeats rapidly becoming a mainstream mainstay, Bamboss has taken on the sound himself for his new song ‘Style You Wear’, dropping in time for the summer! Bamboss brings the summer vibes to life with vibrant production from the man himself, Bamboss, who also produced the whole ‘NewEast’ project. A perfect blend of rapping and singing, Bamboss confesses his admiration for his lady’s style, perhaps the way she holds herself as well as her choice of clothing.

Speaking on the song, Bamboss says; “This vibe naturally came about from the summer of 2016 with me banging out dancehall and afrobeats music non stop. I didn’t go out of my way to make this beat but when I went studio I guess I unintentionally soaked up what I heard and this riddim came out. Shout out the Mrs who inspired the subject matter. If it wasn’t for her asking me if I like her new hairstyle then this wouldn’t have come to be.”

“Even though I tested the waters a bit with ‘De Beauvoir‘ I felt like I can do way more melodically. In no way shape or form am I an afrobeats artist but what I feel at that point of moment in time is what I decide to make. My mind thinks way too much just to be stuck in a box”

The visuals are by MayowaHD via GRM Daily, and stylish and cinematic-looking. Well directed, the video follows a woman around her apartment, getting herself ready as Bamboss sits around the place waiting on her to go out.
