The Nuu Game Republic present the latest track from Ben Ridley via soundcloud, called ‘Kids In The Narm 2’, which is produced by TNGR producer Cyrus. The name refers to Peckham, aka Narm, where the South London Rapper grew up, with the lyrics conveying that Ben’s brushes with crime, poverty and social deprivation, are the norm. Perhaps the track could be seen as metaphor with Ben referring to Peckham as Narm like Vietnam, due to high crime rate and gang violence, as he also states that he is a fighter in the environment he lives. Ben’s delivery as usual is hard-edged and gritty sounding and he spits clever lyrics packed with punchlines, whilst also conveying his emotion via meaningful lyrical content.
