W.A.V.E Gang and SWB Grime MC Blessed recently released his new ‘M1 Stinger’ EP, premiered on Complex. ‘Dats What I Did’, a bouncy tune produced by Shannon Parkes, sees Blessed stating all of his career highlights that he has predicted including his appearance on Lord of the Mics 7. Shannon Parkes produces the energetic, bass-rattling ‘Word On The Kerb 2.0’, conveys Blessed’s never-back-down attitude towards competition, emphasizing his work ethic and skills. The Lolingo-produced ‘Oh My!’ is a “choppy R&G cut”, on which Blessed reminding us of what he is about lyrically and on sets, displaying skippy, fast-paced flows. Neffa T produces ‘Spin Dat’ which samples Ludacris’ ‘What’s Your Fantasy’, spitting bars that depict Blessed’s eagerness to spin a record and spit and “vibe and bubble”. Shannon Parkes returns for the sampled ‘Cold As Ice’, with choppy, skippy production and thumping drums, with Blessed spitting about a certain woman whose exterior is hot yet the interior is cold. Blessed delivers rapid, skippy flows on the beat. A bonus track features the Stars With Bars crew team up on the MOTELEOLA-produced ‘Lights’, a bass-heavy tune with R&B vibes on the hook, conveying their aspirations to be on tour in the bright lights.
