Jamil Abbas also known by his popular stage name A-Star was born on 30th January 1992 in South London, United Kingdom.

Raised in South London, A-Star recorded and released his first mixtape (Street Compilation) at just 16, teaming up with rap pioneers such as; Giggs, Jaja Soze, Fem Fel and Frontlinerz to create his highly regarded debut.

The charismatic MC then went on to appear on countless mixtape spots, before releasing 2011’s ‘Lost Tapes’ mixtape, which compiled a collection of vintage songs and unheard records from A-Star.

Fast forward to 2013, and A-Star is back with a brand new image & single which is sure to turn the heads of both old and new fans alike. ‘She Likes’ sees A-Star venture into a catchy theme single highlighting a differentiation of two different type of women. Ripe for both club and radio DJs and an EP lined up for the start of this year the future looks very bright indeed for one of the capital’s fastest rising young artists.
