Sheffield Grime Star Coco has linked up with Jamaica’s big, bad and heavy Reggae artist Protoje for a brand new single and music video, via SBTV, for ‘Ova Here’, which comes as the second release on Toddla T’s Steeze label. The combo of Coco and Toddla T’s production is once again a massive success, with the added touch of Protoje’s Reggae flava on the chorus. Coco takes to the beat fuelled by a booming bassline, drums and trickling keys, spitting energetic, fast-flowing bars on the dark beat. The lyrics focus on Coco’s own musical journey and the system as he gets lyrical on this bad boy tune. Filmed in Protoje’s hometown of Kingston, Jamaica, Coco seems to be branching out internationally, having already supported Stormzy at Ibiza Rocks, he is preparing for his first headline show at the London O2 Academy2, Islington on September 22nd. Still to come this summer, Coco will be at Bestival and Nottinghill Carnival, plus taking to Glastonbury later this year.
