Cash On Kartel team up with fellow North London artist Ekeno for a new track called ‘Damn Right’, originally by K Camp. Tragik and Konks lay down a verse apiece, with Tragik’s lyrics depicting the stresses in his life, and Konks rhyming about the humble beginnings, warning against those that are untrustworthy. The common theme for both rappers is the need to get out and do whatever they must to grind and stack to make ends meet, as well as hoping to build and empire via positive music endeavours. Tragik and Konk’s delivery is full on, deep and ‘in your face’ hard hitting, with Tragik excellently switching up the speed in particular, and Ekeno delivers a smoothly sung hook, transforming an otherwise hard-edged banger in to a more diverse sounding urban rap banger.
