East London MC DDark is back with a new music video, directed by Jeffrey Smith, for a track called ‘Prove Em Wrong’ which is taken from his latest mixtape ‘Dark Horse’. The track’s lyrics are a reminder of what you can achieve with self-belief and hard graft. Coming from the perspective of a musician, DDark does not glamorise the road to success, rather emphasizing how much you have to work for your dreams materialise, stressing focus, belief, around the clock work and patience as the key to prove those around you wrong. DDark delivers an array of flows, switching speeds effortlessly and he flows effortlessly on the Trap-infused Grime production, also delivering an anthemic hook which he puts all of his conviction in to. Check out the music video which features a young actor following his aspirations, with DDark kind of mentoring him at one point, alternating between shots of lip-synced performance by DDark.
