Dot Rotten – Remember Me E.P

‘Over the time period I have lived, i’ve learnt to show NO LOVE to those who don’t support my dreams and GOALS. I spend all my time grinding Monday to Sunday, ALL WEEK and sometimes it gets hard. Things move so fast I CANT KEEP UP but I still push myself TO THE MAX. I meet fans of my music and they tell me they always CHECK ME OUT to see if there is anything new, that’s usually followed by “You must keep doing your thing because you’re SPECIAL”. I’ve been through so much with snakes, fakes and people who ask me to roll with them & then act like they DONT NEED ME. I’m just glad i’m still on point and ready for the future, regardless of what happens i’ll make them all REMEMBER ME!’
Minarmy’s top man, Producer and MC Dot Rotten brings you a brand new free download called ‘Remember Me’, a nine-track EP featuring Hip Hop and Trap production from the likes of Lewis Cullen and SNY. The drive and motivation for the project is the hate that has built up inside Dot these last couple of years, as he battled with snakes, fakes, haters, but all of that has spurred him on to greater things in music, becoming more ferocious and ravenous in his work and his delivery. Tracks on this EP deal with love or the lack of, Dot rhyming about the haters and fakes, then he has tracks like ‘Goals’, an anthemic Trap banger in which Dot Rotten maps out his goals, revealing how he is always looking for a different approach to get to where he wants, changing and moving with the times.
There a few hard hitting Trap productions Zelph Ellis and SNY, ‘All Week’ from the former, the lyrics depicting Dot’s work rate, and constant grind throughout the week, going in deep with bars that convey the sometimes gritty life that many like him live, whilst trying to make it, ducking police, or ending up in prison. The latter, ‘To The Max’, is one of my personal favourites, Dot Rotten going in with ferocious delivery, spraying solid bars featuring punchlines and metaphors, and the bars reflecting max levels that Dot is reaching, spitting hard-edged bars that also convey the hustle and grind lifestyle. Another fav is ‘Check Me Out’ produced by Sevn Thomas, and is slow grinding Trap tune, with Dot Rotten’s delivery the highlight, as the bars depict Dot’s own confidence and self-ego, feeling his own style, and rhyming about his money, his lavish lifestyle and much more. The last three tracks are more light-hearted in the vibes, with ‘Special’ and ‘Don’t Need Me’, the first featuring Dot expressing his feelings for a special woman, stating all that he would do for her, whilst the latter is a song that depicts a broken relationship, which is lacking trust, Dot Rotten coming to the realization that this girl doesn’t need him.
The last track is called ‘Remember Me’ and ends the EP nicely, with Dot Rotten looking to the future, rhyming about his dreams, his ambitions and his drive to keep on going, using the fire and the desire in his heart to push on make the world remember him. Stream or download this EP below, which features quality production, and lyricism close to Dot Rotten’s heart, in which he puts the fire from his heart in to nine energetic, ferocious tracks.
