Break FM’s DJ Profit recently recruited rappers Serocee, Mystro, and singer Zoe Evangeline for a brand new track and music video for ‘Electric Smile’, a melodious, boom-bap Hip Hop production by Ekizel, as the mc’s deliver lyrics over the hard hitting jangling beat, alongside a smooth chorus delivered by Zoe. Serocee and Mystro shed light on a much happier time in a city that is gloomy most times, and whilst not ignoring the fact that they too share in the doom and gloom, they draw for experiences of getting lost in music, elevating to a more positive light, and enjoying life and having a laugh. As Profit explains, the video’s idea stems from the thought of allowing “ . . .the artists to flow seamlessly in and out of their parts of the track whilst allowing the animators the freedom of creativity with regards to the environment.” The music video, directed by Rhodri Davies, features an animated fantasy world resembling London City, as the mc’s dip in out of their respective verses, in which the deliver fun, punchy lyrics.
