Felix De Luca – First of the Month (Video)
Having released the audio to his new single ‘First of the Month’ earlier this month, Copenhagen MC Felix De Luca unveils visuals for the said track, produced by DontAxAboutIt and which fuses influences from 90’s American Hip Hop to Grime with the beats choppy, grimy production and trapesque vibe. Felix De Luca instantly brings to mind Kendrick Lamar in terms of delivery and style, yet he possesses South London’s Jamaican patois-infused slang. For the video, Felix De Luca takes to the streets of Brixton in South London, and the visuals mirror the raw authenticity of the 90’s New York skate aesthetic of Larry Clark’s film ‘Kids’. Alluding to his contemporary European inspirations, Felix De Luca tops off this video with a surprise UK guest rapper, and Felix has already gained support from the likes of Pigeons and Planes, Complex, Earmilk and Redbull, and has been endorsed by the likes of Gaika and his NTS show.
