West London Rapper Flares recently took to soundcloud to release a remix of US Rapper Joey Bada$$’ ‘On and On’ which featured Dyemond Lewis and Maverick Sabre. Renaming the track ‘Voices’, Flares delivers hard hitting flows over the mellow rhythm, the lyrics depicting Flares’ battle with the voices he hears, not necessarily in his mind but from those around him always spreading negativity and hate, and Flares states on the chorus that he himself needs cleansing in order to prosper without being influenced by bad minds. Flares song writing is superb and his lyricism is profound to a certain extent, whilst his flow is raw yet almost to the point of being polished and smooth.
