North West London producer Guni Tunes releases a monster of a Trap tune entitled “Champions League”. The instrumental, cleverly samples the infamous UEFA Champions League theme music. Guni cuts a lick from the classical composition, using part of the prominent vocal and string rise to rhythmic effect. Guni mixes another string sample, looping the music arpeggio style fitting perfectly with the hard punchy kicks and delicate, rapid hi hats and light snare. The way the orchestral cut is sliced makes the tune, whilst being recognisable, also fresh and innovative. Big tune. Never thought I’d hear a Trap music associated with Champions League Football!
