Herbal T crops up out of the blue with his latest project ‘They Live’, a promo EP that was constructed and recorded in 24 hours. Herbal T opens up the listeners mind to the conspiracies that he himself perceives, and on tracks like ‘Escape From London’ and ‘One Can See’, he explores a society that is brainwashed, technology that is taking over the world, making it seem like we a re being watched. ‘Tragedy’ features lyricism from Herbz on which he lays down a chorus mentioning political wars, trigger happy cops and school shoot outs, orchestrated by mind controllers. Through out the promo, the production, apart from having a raw sound to it which Herbal T has become accustomed to, it seems some maybe most of the beats contain eerie synths, sounding like some old sci-fi film, like 1984, a film that portrays a dystopian world, and may be best describing the world that Herbal T creates in his music.
