UK Lyricist Imma, comparable to the likes of Mike Skinner (The Streets) and Professor Green, is back with a third mixtape, entitled ‘Rawness Fu@k A Tourist’, released within a week. Imma switches it up on us once again, spitting over such heavy hitters as ‘Na .. We ain’t done’, a pounding Hip Hop beat with scratches incorporated, displaying lyrical prowess. Similar tracks include ‘Compare Ya Bars’, a fighter vibe which sees Imma spit fire, taking it to the competition with superior wordplay. ‘Disgruntled’ features lyrics from Imma as he expresses his dissatisfaction at the state of the United Kingdom, from rappers to politics and more. ‘Retro Intro Fist Throw’ sees Imma spit on a thumping electronic dance beat that wouldn’t be out of place in a retro cop show or something. Imma links up with Deo De Madman again on another track called ‘Ulterior Motive’ as Deo comes with the dark and creeping flows again, as both attack inferior lyricists with their intellect. Ability MC appears also once again with Imma linking up with him on a boom bap style production for ‘Rascal Surprises’. The pair rhyme over the hard hitting beat that also contains piercing strings, Ability MC showcases great delivery and flows. This mixtape also includes a Chiba Session produced by Session600, and featuring fellow mc’s Flowtecs and Phyba Optikz. The three kicking philosophical rhymes on the boom bap beat. Imma is on fire on this one! Imma also presents a track with none other than Scrufizzer who delivers superb lyrics over a slow beat but with dark and moody bassline, delivering a profound message about only holding yourself responsible for your actions.
Imma keeps improving with every release he unveils, this mixtape in particular having a different sound production wise to previous releases, and shows that Imma is quite versatile in which he can go from one style of Hip Hop to the next.
