Jean Kengz – Frequent Flyers feat Kamen, Drigs & Quince Lu
Jean Kengz is a French Producer, more specifically a Parisian beatsmith, who brings us a track called ‘Frequent Flyers’ from his upcoming project THE SUBSTANCE”, a compilation with more than 30 Hip Hop and R’n’B US independent artists. A smooth, melodic and cloudy beat that gives just a glimpse of Jean Kengz’ vibrant productions, the single has a laidback summertime vibe. Frequent Flyers features R’n’B singer Kamen, rappers Drigs (New York) and Quince Lu (Tallahassee) on a rhythmic instrumental influenced by Jazz, Rap and Electro, so is a rather diverse, eclectic, hybrid sound overall. The rappers lyrics tie in with the idea of living a fly, care-free life, and their flows and delivery is laidback and chilled, complementing the beat. Kamen delivers a superbly sung, melodic chorus where he sings about staying high whether it is on the ground, intoxicated presumably, or flying high and going abroad.
