W.A.V.E Gang and Jon E Clayface released one of many releases to come in December at the top of the month, the much anticipated ‘Keep Up’ EP. The mixtape includes up-tempo, energetic grime bangers ‘Keep Up’ which features a proper catchy hook, ‘Top Boy’ featuring Ten Dixon and Jack Fitz on a Grime-come-Trap beat with hypnotizing sampling. Also on the track is the ambient ‘Hash Tag’ produced by Audio Slugs, that sees Jon E Clayface and Jack Fitz bark with ferocious lyrics aimed at inferior mc’s. Then you have ‘Oblivious’ with Shakes on the crisp trapesque, bass-rich beat as he obliterates competition with deadly barring as usual. Two other tracks to listen to are ‘Mayhem Part 4’ which sees Jon E Clayface shell a lethal, bass-booming Ghost Muzik instrumental with some clever and witty lyrics, and of course the Texie remix of ‘Keep Up’, a synth laden refix with a dutty distorted bassline. Through out the mixtape Jon E Clayface and his W.A.V.E team steam on to each track with boastful lyricism that proves why they are up there with the elite mc’s in the grime scene.
