Premiered earlier this month on Complex, Jon E Clayface and Ten Dixon of South London Grime collective W.A.V.E returned with the long awaited ‘Rep Thy Crew (Love Thy Blood)’. Produced by Jon E Clayface himself, the two spray sharp lyricism over a suspenseful, synth-laden, whirring grime beat scattered with crisp percussion. The two’s delivery is raw and gritty as they spit bars exploring the brotherhood of the W.A.V.E Gang, but is also an anti-system middle finger to the law and the system that has no love for them. The bars are impacting and the flows are just mental, rowdy and energetic.
