UK Grime artist Kid Bookie recently released a new EP, “Throw Away Music”, giving away some of his latest tracks as freebies, nevertheless, there are 13 strong tracks featuring some stellar collaborations with some of his fellow Future Grime Music artists, including Kozzie, Scrufizzer, Jamkay, Drifter, Maxsta and Cameo. The rapid spitting emcee goes in on Trap, Grime and Hip Hop, teaming up with Kozzie on the 140bpm banger Chiraq, tearing it up with crazy fast delivery and flow. The hype continues on such tracks as the light in mood track “Smile, Wave & Say Hey”, with an infectious hook, all emcee’s including Scrufizzer, Ten Dixon and Voltage peppering the bassline instrumental with impeccable lyricism and flows. Also check out DJ Cameo’s single “Moonwalker” featuring Brotherhood, Drifter and Dusty amongst others. “Maybe I Will Tomorrow” is a more calm and thoughtful track by Bookie, rhyming on a acoustic instrumental, reflecting on his early years of music, noting those he used to roll with, how he used to go about it, thinking about how much he has done for the scene, and culminating in looking to tomorrow to get all the things he wants to done. “Beautiful Woman” is another acoustic track featuring Ziey and Christie, incorporating a nice soulful vibe from Ziey and Christie, as Kid Bookie spits about his feelings for a girl, bothered with bottling up their feelings for one another. A final track that I like is “Come Round Again”, featuring Maxsta and Hydro, as the trio spit about their love of smoking weed. This one is slow but hard hitting Hip Hop track to chill out to, Bookie showcasing superb singing abilities on the hook.
