UK R&B Singer Kyle Lettman returns with his brand new E.P “When It Rains”, a special Valentines Day release to get the lovers of us in the spirit. Following on from last year’s “Underconstruction”, this 5-track EP features the lead single “Explode”, a slow and sauntering, sultry track with harmonious vocals from Kyle, as he expresses the excruciating pain one can go through when they are faced with the temptation of love and the agony of knowing a relationship is impossible.
Themes explored on the E.P are all the remedies of a love relationship, the ups and downs, love, heartbreak and passion. Kyle remixes and covers Adele’s hit single “Hello”, as he sings over an ambient and mellow beat, with his voice soft and emotional. Kyle Lettman is brilliant at the climax on the chorus. “Making Plans” depicts that moment when you come to the realisation that you love someone, but with the that one burning question, does she love you the same? Does she feel the same? This is Kyle making plans for a future with his love interest, and asking those questions.
“Dance For Me” is a trickling-synth based R&B track on which Kyle sings about a situation in which he and his lover finally express their passion. The song depicts slow, love making where the woman is in control. Kyle Lettman tells a story of breakup of a relationship, dealing with the aftermath and expressing his feelings towards his ex. Kyle combines his own singing talents with that of a female singer for this track, both delivering a fantastic and catchy hook.
