Grime emcee Laughta has returned with a music video for her fresh & hype new single ‘Pree My Ting’, produced by Boy Better Know’s Jammer. Re-entering with this nostalgic Grime sound, this is a bold, heavy-hitting Grime riddim featuring punchy bars from Laughta who aims at the haters and those preeing her. Having clicked in the studio instantly, the duo created the track within a few hours, “As soon as Jammer laid the drum pattern, I heard the chorus in my head, and we both knew that we’d created something special”, Laughta explains.

Speaking on the single, Laughta says: “It’s so inspiring to be working with such a pioneer from the scene who’s done so much over the years and his knowledge and guidance is priceless.  This track is about people who watch you. In this industry you can really feel that- some people are judging you, some are looking out for you, some people appreciating the rise- it’s all eyes on you!”

The up-tempo Grime riddim is accompnaied by visuals directed by Chas Appeti, and is a concept that both Jammer and Laughta came up with together, bringing an element of fun and humour back to music videos. Inspired by watching old school classic Grime videos, they have both brought that era back to the current day, injecting vibrant colour, slapstick comedy action and animated, lively action scenes in to the music video.

So far this year, Laughta has released and charted her 5-track EP “My Terms & Conditions”, featuring 5 Grime bangers produced by heavyweight Grime producers The Heavytrackerz, known for working with Solo 45, Stormzy, Ghetts, Lethal Bizzle and more. From the “punchy call out track” ‘2Faced Pagans’ featuring Gen (Black Magic, BlackBox), to the “ball busting” ‘Cinderella’, and the “declaration of independence” in ‘That’s Right’ ft. grime energy don Face, it is clear that Laughta’s style is hard-hitting with skippy flows.

Born in Nigeria and of Lebanese descent, Laughta draws from a multi-cultural background, bringing to the scene her own unique look and sense of style.
