Grime MC Icekid is back, after having released a track with Scrufizzer and Mega12 last week, he is back again with the latter of the two for a new track called ‘Smile’. This one is a slow one that steps away from Grime in to Hip Hop and smooth rhythmic drip-dropping melody, as the pair concoct a love song which they address their feelings for woman, Icekid delivering some smooth wordplay, pulling all of the seasons in to one or two lines, and pouring his heart out for this one girl that sands out. Mega12 lays down soulfully sung vocals based around resistance to shrugging off his feelings, kicking in to a rap verse as he rhymes about changing his future’s path, spreading smiles to his lady, and stressing that he is unlike any other men. Both Mega12 and Icekid deliver matured lyricism regarding relationships and falling in love, and this track is a massive one that is so diversified in sound.
