Nottingham Grime MC Mez is back with a promo cd to promote his forthcoming #28EP which is out on 31st May. The promo features three tracks including ‘SLO’s’, a Grime refix of Joe Budden’s ‘Pump It Up’ produced by Trends, and features Mez delivering one line flows and manic bars over the blazing instrumental. ‘Next In Grime’ takes it back with a remix of Skepta’s 2010 hit ‘Cross My Heart’, with Mez continuing to hold it down for the Nottingham crew, as the BBC Radio 1Xtra #NextInGrime winner tears it up with gully lyrics, comparing his lyrical prowess to a lyrical ‘strally’, building an image of mc’s getting riddled with piercing shots. The final track is featuring fellow Nottingham MC Jdot and production by Mystry, entitled ‘Can’t Compare’, as both go in over a dutty, electronic grime instrumental, with Jdot possessing skippy flows and raw energy, as both spray headshot bars for competition, parring ‘likkle’ mc’s with irrelevant chat, as they assert themselves on a higher level than most.
