Mic Righteous – 2005 live on Charlie Sloth’s Rap Up
UK Hip Hop lyricist Mic Righteous joined Charlie Sloth for another session on Charlie Sloth’s Rap Up, in which he performed his latest single ‘2005’ from his debut album live. The track features lyrics from Mic Righteous in which he rhymes about the expectations that many people had for him from early, being judged because of his circumstances, whilst he also expresses early dreams to be on the big TV screen, and takes you back to a time in his life when he was moving anti-social. On one hand, Mic rhymes about the situations that weighed him down, yet switches round and spits about the stage when he picked up a pen and started what he loved the most. Mic Righteous is one of the best story tellers in the UK Rap scene in my opinion, mixed with both gritty realness and the passion for his love of music, knowing where he has come from in order to get to where he is going. Mic also delivers unique flows, like a ticking time bomb, he starts off with slow hard hitting flows and reaching a climax when he goes off on one with rapid fire, and even ends the track with a spoken word piece.
